Ebay is always reliable for having interesting items that consumers can procure. One of the newest auctions is selling an item of interest for gamers everywhere, with a listing for a copy of Grand Theft Auto III signed by the infamous anti-violent game attorney Jack Thompson. Thompson apparently signed the GTA III copy during an appearance at VGXPO in Philadelphia to debate video game violence. The item is on sale for a buy it now price of $4000.
The seller, “Nick” who has a 99.9% positive feedback rating, states on the listing that “I do not actually want to sell this. I am just listing it for show and to hopefully win a contest. However, if you want to spend $4000 on this then I will donate 100% of the proceeds to Child’s Play Charity.” He furthers lists the reasons that you should own the item, stating that “it’s a physical piece of hilarious gaming irony.” |
