Sony to Broaden PSP Appeal through the Playstation Store

Sony to Broaden PSP Appeal through the Playstation Store

None

The PSP looks to tap into the Nintendo DS’s share of non-gamers by offering small scale gaming experiences on the PC version of the PSN store.

PSP senior product manager, John Koller said, “We have an opportunity to bring bite-size experiences to the system, ten minute, pick up and play content that can be downloaded from the store.” The concept sounds great, but it seems as if users will have to be at least tech savvy in order to know where and how to download the games.

Another highlight of the expanded PSN store will be the inclusion of hard- to-get PSP titles. For those of you out there who have been hounding your local game store and cruising about the online auction houses for a chance to play some of rarest titles to be found on the PSP, look no further. You’ll be able to download some of those must-have titles directly to your PSP.
