Nintendo Releases Details about BioWare’s Upcoming Sonic RPG for the DS

None

According to Nintendo Power magazine, the handheld RPG that has been shrouded in mystery now has working title. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood will make full use of the DS touch screen. The presentation will also be nicely suited for the DS as an artistic water-color look will be used to capture the visuals.

Gamers will control parties of four that can be selected from a large host of classic Sonic series characters. These characters will all have distinct abilities that will make party formation crucial. Thankfully, combat will be turn-based and focus on the use of tactics rather than hack and slash. Moreover, your progress won’t be hampered by random battles that constantly pop-up on you. Hopefully the game will play more like Final Fantasy Tactics rather than Final Fantasy I and II. With BioWare at the helm we probably don’t have much to worry about. As of yet there is no official release date and the game is still listed as Sonic DS on BioWare’s website.
