Factor 5, developers of the less than successful Lair video game for the PS3, are looking for a fresh start on the Wii. If you ever played Lair , then you know that the Sixaxis motion controls implemented in that title were horrendous. Hopefully the game they produce for the Wii will not fall into the same trap.
Factor 5 was responsible for the famed Rogue Squadron series though, so they are quite capable of producing top quality aerial-based games. Early on in the development of Lair , the developers admitted to their lack of interest and knowledge of classic fantasy as a company going into development. One can only assume that the new Wii title from Factor 5 will leave dragons to the likes of Blizzard, BioWare, and Atari. Who knows, maybe they’ll partner back up with LucasArts?
