Sega Consoles Continue to Receive Support

None

As reported by Sega Nerds and according to Piersolar.com, “ Pier Solar will be the very first all new game to appear on Megadrive/Genesis and Mega CD/Sega CD in this millennium.”  That’s right; the dusty consoles will be blessed with wholly original content. Pier Solar (previously codenamed Tavern RPG) will release to retro gamers everywhere sometime in fall 2008.  The 20-year-old systems were known for their high-quality games, from sports to platformers and especially RPGs. Pier Solar seeks to carry on this tradition.

Pier Solar was the 16-Bit RPG brainchild of the Sega homebrew community of Eidolon’s Inn Projects from back in 2004.  The support for the title by the community has been phenomenal and the game will soon be ready for release.  The official development team name is WM Development and it looks as though they have pulled off a compelling title that should mirror the high quality gameplay, graphics, and in-depth storylines of the very best 16-Bit RPGs.
