Sega Theme Park on Middle East Horizon

None

Sega has partnered with the Dubai-based real estate firm Emaar Malls Group to construct a theme park in the 76,000 square foot Dubai mall in downtown Burj.  According to Gameindustry.biz, “The complex will be based on Sega’s Joypolis centres in Japan and feature an indoor roller-coaster, simulators and arcade machines.”

The park is set to open in late 2008.  CEO of Sega, Hajime Satomi stated that, “Entertainment is about living dreams, it is about experiencing joy and culture. In joining with a company of Emaar’s stature and power, we hope to convey the pleasure and excitement inspired by great entertainment to people all over the world.”  That sounds great, so when’s this shopper-tainment coming stateside?
