THQ Streamlines; Frontlines for the PS3 and Others Get Axe

None

According to the ShackNews story, THQ has indeed canceled the Frontlines: Fuel of War title for the PlayStation 3.  The news came on the heels of THQ’s financial reporting.

According to THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell, “We (THQ) have taken actions to strengthen our pipeline and position ourselves to compete aggressively with compelling, high quality games,” said THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell.

Other franchises in the THQ lineup to miss the cut are Juiced and Stuntman; the few fans of these series will be disappointed to find out.  Moreover, THQ has taken even more drastic measures by closing the development studio Concrete Games which hasn’t released a title since its formation in 2004.  Word is that key members of the fallen studio will find employment elsewhere in the company.
