Fatal Frame to Make the Jump to Wii

Fatal Frame to Make the Jump to Wii

None

The excellent horror franchise is slated to come out for the Wii in Japan this summer.  There is no word from Tecmo yet as to whether it will be available in North America, but the signs point to an eventual release.  Nintendo will publish the Tecmo title in a collaborative effort.

According to IGN, the big N “is also lending its support on the development end. Key staff members include Keisuke Kikuchi as producer and Makoto Shibata as director, both veterans of the series. But joining Shibata in the director’s cubicle is Grasshopper Manufacturer’s Goichi Suda (aka Suda 51), who recently completed work on No More Heroes.”  This demonstrates a commitment to quality and importance that is bound to bring the game to Western shores.

For those who don’t know, Fatal Frame has gamers take snapshots of ghosts and other paranormal activity while participating in a lengthy mystery.  The point and click controls of the Wii remote should be perfect for the series.  If the graphics prove to be highly detailed and the lighting and environments are sufficiently eerie, then the marriage between the horror title and the Wii console could be perfect.
