According to an interview with GamersGlobal, the legendary game designer Sid Meier is toying with the idea of developing an MMO. If this proves to be true gamers should be prepared to sacrifice several weeks of their lives to the gaming god. Mr. Meier is a veritable gold mine of good ideas and he’s got a bunch of them for his very first MMO. The fact that Sid has never taken on the genre is a big part of the attraction for him. “There’s definitely a difference in MMO games, and that’s part of the interest for me: to try something a little different .” He then continues by saying that, “ I enjoy the idea of doing something I haven’t done before, so an MMO would fit perfectly, but I really can’t say if that would be the next game we do or if it’s still a couple of games down the road before we come to that. Because I have new single player games I want to do as well .” We’re not sure when it will come out or even what kind of gameplay it would encompass. We do know that if it ever does come out it will be time and money well spent.
