According to unconfirmed rumors swirling about G4TV.com, Guitar Hero IV may already be in the works. A source close to TheFeed has stated that a small scale software test of about 4-6 people will be conducted tomorrow.
If this is true then it means Activision has decided to forgo DLC in favor of a full boxed set. This is a very different business model than the one employed by EA’s Rock Band which has already released oodles of DLC support.
According to the TheFeed, this boxed approach is consistent with company statements that Activision will turn Guitar Hero into an annual franchise. |
