Commodore 64 to Come to European Wii Virtual Console

Commodore 64 to Come to European Wii Virtual Console

None

Later this year, European Wii owners will be treated to games from the best-selling personal computer of all time, the Commodore 64.

For those of you unfamiliar with the C64, it was released in 1982. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it remains the best selling single computer model of all time, with an estimated 22 million units sold. Over its lifespan (1982-1994), it established an astonishing collection of over 4,000 games.

Among the first titles from Commodore 64 which will be made available in Europe for the Virtual Console are International Karate and Uridium. These titles will be followed by regular updates to the line-up from the Commodore 64’s immense gaming library. The games will cost a mere 500 Wii points. It sounds great but I’m not getting excited until it comes to North America and they release The Sword of Fargol and BC’s Quest for Tires!
