Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A Dated and Detailed

The Game Factory announced the return of the action/adventure franchise Code Lyoko for the Nintendo DS. The title was originally to be named Code Lyoko 2, but it has since changed its name to Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A. The game is set to release in North America in June 2008.

The game will employ multi-player game modes and a “unique real-time, turn-based battle system.” We’re not sure exactly what that means as it sounds like an oxymoron, but if we had to guess it will probably be similar to Tales of Symphonia or the recently released Crisis Core.

The game’s storyline will be based on the fourth season of the show. As such, William is being held captive on Lyoko by the evil virus X.A.N.A. Gamers will follow the party on a quest to destroy the virus and to defeat the infamous Volcano Replika that holds both the virus X.A.N.A. and the captured William. T he game promises slick stylus controls, customizable characters, multiplayer gameplay, and more than 100 battle arenas.

Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A features include:

• Control with your stylus fully-customizable characters with upgradeable attacks, Powers, Functions and virtual Items (Firewalls, Viruses, Bugs, Programs, and more…)

• Fight your way through the Digital Sea and battle more enemies using subterranean vehicles.

• Battle against your friends in 4 different multiplayer modes: normal, handicap, bet & challenge

• Play with the four Lyoko warriors and experience a Unique Real Time turn base Interactive battle system

• Defeat X.A.N.A’s minions in 100 different Battle Arenas

• Enjoy Newly-designed heroes in Super-Deformed style
