Infinity Ward Makes Bid for Exclusive Rights to Call of Duty Franchise

None

It is rumored that Infinity Ward has made a bid to have exclusive developments rights for the Call of Duty series.  Supposedly, the fact that Treyarch will be helming Call of Duty 5 is simply unacceptable.

According to Next-Gen via VE3D, a former Activision Underground employee stated that the Developer and Publisher are renegotiating their contract to make Infinity Ward the sole developer of the FPS franchise.

Infinity Ward established the series by developing both CoD and Cod 2 in 2003 and 2005 respectively.  The task was then passed onto Treyarch the following year and then back to Infinity Ward so that a CoD title could be released every year to capitalize on the demand from a hungry market.  We’ll bring you more when or if it develops.
