Microsoft Looking for Development Talent for Next Halo

None

According to the Microsoft Careers page, another set of Halo goodness is in the works.  This time it looks as though Bungie will be largely, but not entirely, left out of the plans.  Redmond, WA based publisher, Microsoft Game Studios, is looking for key talent to head up the new project.

Specifically, Microsoft is looking for a program manager, software engineers, game designer management, and a builder.  In the job descriptions Microsoft states that, “Microsoft Game Studios’ Halo team is looking for a developer to help develop a new game in the Halo universe. Work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry; we are gathering an incredible team to help drive the future of Halo.”

The news broke through MTV Multiplayer, which inferred that the project had to do with the Peter Jackson led Halo project which was announced at X06 in Barcelona.  Subsequently, Microsoft released an official statement which reads:

“A Peter Jackson-helmed Halo project was announced at X06 in Barcelona.  Since then, Microsoft Game Studios has been hard at work collaborating with Peter Jackson and Bungie on the development of that project. At this time, it’s necessary to grow the internal team to keep pace with development. Bungie will continue to remain involved in multiple aspects of the Halo Universe with MGS (Microsoft Game Studios).”
