According to GamesIndustry.biz, Turbine has secured $40 million in venture capital. This news was confirmed by an online report by Private Equity Hub. This brings Turbine’s total V.C. Funding up to $88 million. So where did the new money come from? According to Private Equity Hub via GamesIndustry.biz, Granite Global Ventures “led the Series C financing which also included previous investors Highland Capital Partners, Polaris Venture Partners, Tudor Ventures, and Columbia Capital.” As a result, Granite Global’s managing partner Hani Nada has become a member of the Turbine board. Turbine is set to make official announcements about their future plans within the next two weeks.
