CTA Getting Sued by GTA!

CTA Getting Sued by GTA!

None

Reuters reported this morning that Take Two Interactive Software Inc., the publishers of Grand Theft Auto IV, filed suit against the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) on Monday. The suit comes in the wake of the city pulling $300,000 worth of ads from buses, trains, depots, and stations.

The suit was filed against the transit authority in Manhattan federal court for “violating its free speech and contractual rights, saying it pulled its posters within days of the ads first appearing on April 22.”

Take Two names the CTA and its sales agent, Titan Outdoor LLC, of violating their ad campaign agreement that had the adverts running for a full six weeks. According to Reuters, “the suit seeks an order for the transit authority to run the ads as well as monetary damages of at least $300,000.”
