New Star Wars Won't Unleash on PC

None

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will release for every gaming platform except PC.  As difficult as this seems to believe, LucasArts simply can’t provide a satisfying experience on the PC while maintaining a balance between performance and rig specs.

The reason for this is that the PC version would be based on the 360 and PS3 editions.  The Force Unleashed for current generation consoles employs new technologies developed by LucasArts such as Euphoria and DMM that simply can’t be dumbed-down to work on older PCs.  Doing so would completely change the core gameplay.

In a conversation with IGN, producer Cameron Suey confirms this by stating that, “The PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn’t be the same game.”
