Sony Finally Appoints Phil Harrison's Successor

After the resignation of Phil Harrison from Sony Worldwide Studios, it has been difficult for the electronics juggernaut to fill his shoes. However, the appointment of Shuhei Yoshida to the head of worldwide game development looks to be the right choice.

Yoshida is an accomplished executive and well liked throughout the industry. Most recently, Yoshida held the position of Senior Vice President of SCEA. As such, he was responsible for the oversight of all games development in the U.S. Furthermore, Yoshida has been part of Sony since 1986 and was one of the key personages in the launch of the original PlayStation.
