Microsoft CEO Ballmer Nearly Egged

Microsoft CEO Ballmer Nearly Egged

None

At a conference on economics at a university in Budapest, Hungary, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was assaulted by a protester who hurled three eggs in his direction. I say “in his direction” because all three of the eggs missed despite the fact that he was only a few rows from him.

This “attack” of protest comes on the heels of Microsoft’s agreement with the Hungarian government to provide heavily discounted Microsoft products to students. The man felt as though the deal was a bad one for his country and made it known by shouting out “Microsoft has stolen $45 million dollars (accent too heavy to understand). Give back to the Hungarian people!” and scribbling Microsoft = Corruption on the back of his shirt.

Ballmer took the interruption in stride and immediately broke the ice with humor after the man escorted himself from the conference hall.
