The Rumor Round-Up summarizes and highlights the most important gaming related gossip over the past week. This was an incredibly slow week for rumors as a number of whoppers, such as Kingdom Hearts 3 Wii exclusivity and the Splinter Cell: Conviction cancellation rumors were quickly debunked . Here’s what made it to Friday: According to Fudzilla, ATI has been able to create an external GPU. The card, codenamed Lasso, should be introduced to the public at Computex. The article states that the new tech, while incredibly innovative, won’t be compatible with existing notebooks. In fact, the external GPU requires a new connector high-speed connector to function properly. This begs the question; will the new USB be challenged? In any case, the prospect of an external GPU should be the holy grail of mobile PC gaming. The BioShock to PS3 rumor persists, but this time there may actually be some substance. According to an EGM interview with creative director Jordan Thomas, BioShock will indeed find its way onto your Blueray player. Look for its release before the holidays 2008.
