EA SPORTS announced today that Dion Phaneuf, Alexander Ovechkin, and Daniel Alfredsson will be the cover athletes for NHL 09. Phaneuf, of the Calgary Flames, will be the primary athlete featured in all regions except for Russia and Sweden which will feature Ovechkin and Alfredsson respectively.
