According to an interview with GamesIndustry, Nintendo of Europe’s Laurent Fischer confirms that a storage solution is on its way for the Nintendo Wii. However, this solution will not release in the form of external hardware. We’ll have to wait and see what it is they actually put forth, and if it can compete with a hard drive. Here’s what Mr. Fischer was quoted as saying: “Definitely there’s no plan to issue hardware, an external hard drive, but we know that we have an issue in that area,” he added. “It’s very obvious and we’re perfectly aware of it, but there’s nothing we can say beyond this.”
