As we all know, Microsoft’s Games for Windows LIVE has been given gratis to all gamers. But, the complementary access has also been extended to include free cross-platform play to all and the ability for Xbox LIVE Silver members to play online. Supposedly, free access will be given on a temporary basis, but no deadline has been forthcoming. This has prompted many to speculate that Xbox LIVE itself will soon be a free service for all. However, I’ve got a feeling this is rubbish, and Microsoft will continue to charge for their service. |
