In a bid to take advantage of the DS’s widespread appeal and growing ability to do double duty as both a game machine and everyday tool, Electronic Arts announced today that it is getting ready to publish a series of games based on the For Dummies line of instructional books. The games in this line will include Poker for Dummies (initially released for PC) and Travel Games for Dummies. Travel games will include interactive how-to tutorials for Sudoku, Solitaire, and even crosswords this November. “For Dummies offers an entirely fresh take on the world’s most popular games,” said Robert Nashak, VP of EA Casual Studios. “By teaming up with the most recognized name in the area of self-improvement, we can provide not only fun games, but also everything it takes to learn and master them.”
