Pure Demo coming to PS3, 360, and Retailers

The demo for Disney Interactive’s new quad racer, Pure will be available for download as well as be given away to those who preorder the title. A demo disc for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be available at select major U.S. and Canadian retailers starting Monday, August 18.

August 15, 2008 – A sneak preview of Pure, the action sports video game featuring four-wheel vehicles, will be available the week of August 18 throughout the United States at select major retailers, for ordering both in-store and online. Disney Interactive Studios announced today that a pre-order demo disc of Pure will be available at GameStop, Best Buy (U.S. and Canada), Blockbuster, Game Crazy, EB Games (Canada), and other retailers.

Pure was selected as the Best Racing Game of E3 2008 by the Game Critics Awards, the most prestigious awards for each year’s E3 Media & Business Summit.

The Pure pre-order demo disc is available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and will include a game tutorial and one complete track from the game. The track takes place in Italy and features statues, ruins and massive jumps with a lake seen in the distance. The demo disc will be distributed to all customers who pre-order Pure, and place a deposit toward their purchase at these retailers. Offers are valid while supplies last.

In addition, the Pure demo will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Store in September.

“Pure is an action sports game like no other that lets you soar off huge peaks and see for miles in the distance while you pull adrenaline-inducing tricks,” said Jason Avent, game director at Black Rock Studio. “The demo will give fans a limited but intense sample of the gameplay and provide practice for when the game is released in late September.”

Developed by Black Rock Studio, Disney Interactive Studios’ award-winning development studio in Brighton, England, Pure, takes action sports to a new level. Featuring vertigo-inducing massive aerial jumps and spectacular airborne tricks in photo-realistic real locations all over the globe, Pure delivers heart-pounding experiences. Pure gives players pure adrenaline and emotion as they execute incredible aerial tricks while doing death-defying massive jumps. Pure will be available for the PlayStation 3 system, and Xbox 360 for $59.99 at major retail stores in September 2008. In addition, a Windows-based PC version will be available for $49.99.
