Left 4 Dead, originally set to release on November 4, 2008, is now coming out on November 20 in order to take advantage of the Half-Life tenth anniversary. Word of the delay came direct from Valve’s co-founder, Gabe Newell.

A partnership between Ubisoft and GeoEye will bring Tom Clancy’s HAWX to the next level. The air combat video game will use “photo-realistic satellite images” to portray real world backdrops for the game’s environments. The title will release for the 360, PS3, and PC and should release in the first quarter of 2009.

Daimion Pinnock, producer at SCEA, announced on the PlayStation Blog that the long-rumored SCEA mystery game is Savage Moon. “Coming exclusively to PLAYSTATION Network this fall, Savage Moon is a frantic, action-packed tower defense game in a gritty sci-fi setting. You are tasked with protecting mining facilities from ravenous space bugs using some truly fearsome weaponry.” The game sounds a lot like a mix between PJ Monsters and Starship Troopers. We’re excited to see how it turns out this fall.

Tony Hawk’s Motion has been revealed to the public via Australia’s rating board, the OFLC. The game will come bundled with an accelerometer peripheral (a bit of add on junk that detects motion) in an attempt to revitalized the beleaguered franchise.

The Xbox LIVE Arcade will be getting treated to Meteos Wars this October. Based on the frantic block-puzzler, Meteos Wars has been given an HD upgrade, has received a lot more content and special features. It also adds a ton of new game modes including multiplayer gameplay, but it will also feature a lengthy story mode. The game is for 1-2 players, will cost 800 MS Points, and is being developed and published by Q Entertainment.

According to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam will be getting a sequel. Gundam Musou 2 will initially release in Japan on December 4 for the PS3, PS2, and Xbox 360 simultaneously. Gundam Musou 2 will be full of new Mobile Suits and characters, including giant Mobile Armor units.

Square Enix would like to pick up Tecmo with a friendly takeover bid. The offer to purchase Tecmo is for 920 yen per share (a 30% premium to where shares traded on August 28, 2008) with a deadline of September 4. Tecmo would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Square Enix but would remain largely autonomous in terms of the management and development of existing IPs. In other words, the relationship between Square Enix and Tecmo will function quite similarly to that of Square Enix and Taito.

EA DICE is letting players of Battlefield: Bad Company vote for their favorite maps in the single-player campaign to be converted for the multiplayer Conquest mode. Plus, the developers will choose two other maps for a total of four maps for the free download. So, get on over to the official website and vote before the “polls” close on September 2nd.

Thanks so much everyone and we will see you next week
