Those of you who have played Shining in the Darkness and Shining Force on the Genesis in 1991 and 1992, or even 1997’s Shining the Holy Ark for Saturn or even 2007’s Shining Force EXA for PS2, will be happy to know that yet another RPG from SEGA’s Shining Force series is in the works. The newest entry, Shining Force Feather, will likely combine both tactical and action RPG mechanics to strike harmony between the disparate control and combat schemes of the various titles within the franchise. Feather will take place 3,000 years after the war between Shining Force and Kyomu and will follow the exploits of Jin and Alfeen; a treasure hunter and his ancient cyborg companion. Look for Shining Force Feather to release initially in Japan in spring of 2009. There is no confirmation as to when the title will make its way to North America.
