According to the October 23, 2008 patent filing’s images, the Sony Break-Apart (motion-sensitive) controller looks like it will be reconfigurable depending upon the game you’re playing. Also, it will use the PlayStation Eye for special reference (much like the Wii’s Sensor Bar). While the images incorporate some interesting concepts, the controller design doesn’t look sleek enough to be sent to market. In fact, we’re not sure if that’s a controller, an ice cream scoop, or an adult toy. You be the judge!
