Machinarium Comes To PSN Next Month

Machinarium Comes To PSN Next Month

On a recent European PlayStation Blog update, Sony told us that two titles, one new and one new for the PSN, would be coming to the PS Store in September.

Users immediately started guessing what these mystery titles could be. When user Antares guessed, “Double Dragon Neon and Machinarium,” Sony’s Rose McGrath responded with, “Give the man a cookie, he’s 100 percent right!”

For those of you who don’t know, Machinarium is a dark and twisted point-and-click adventure game that takes place in a surreal city of cartoonish robots.

Jakub Dvorsky, founder of developer Amanita Design, says that the PSN version will be “the ultimate version” of this cult classic PC game that came out 2009. Since then we have seen Machinarium come out on iPad, Android, and even WiiWare, but never on any of our HD consoles.

An official announcement should be coming soon. Bear in mind that the game has only been confirmed for European release as of now. Machinarium’s U.S. release is still up in the air. However, it is highly unlikely that such a highly regarded game would come out on European territories without making its way to U.S. consoles as well.
