Plants vs. Zombies 2 Coming Next Year

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Coming Next Year

The much-awaited sequel to Plants vs Zombies is finally in development. Perhaps the only mainstream release from PopCap that has a horde of hardcore gamers frothing at the mouth, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will supposedly come out in late spring 2013, according to a recent PopCap press release. It will “include a bevy of new features, settings, and situations, designed to delight the franchise’s tens of millions of fans around the world.” Most likely this includes a variety of new plants, new zombies, new stages, and more.

Unfortunately, not much else was said about the game, and “late spring” is still a very vague launch window. Instead of revealing more details, PopCap decided to give us hints from in-character spokespeople:

“Spring is crullest curlie ungood time, and plantz grow dull roots,” noted an unidentified spokesperson. “So, we are meating you for brainz at yore house. No worry to schedule schedlue plan… we’re freee anytime. We’ll find you.”

“There was a time we relished a bracing, hearty blend of zombies, in the morning,” said Sonny F. Lower, a representative of the Flora Forever Foundation. “But first, a brisk shower and some strategic pruning are required. Tomorrow is near!”

What might these be alluding to? Zombies that can uproot plants? Rain-themed levels? We will just have to wait to find out.
