Unofficial Dark Souls PC Mod Fixes Resolution Issues

Unofficial Dark Souls PC Mod Fixes Resolution Issues

A player for Dark Souls’ PC version has fixed the game’s resolution issues via a mod.

It was previously discovered that the game’s PC port would be locked at a resolution of 1024×720, which mirrors the same resolution featured in the console versions. However, NeoGAF user Durante has now created “DSfix”, which is an 80KB download that instructs the title to enable higher resolutions.

The download itself features a .dll file that players can place within the game’s directory on their PC. A text file is also included that allows players to alter the game’s resolution.

The modder stressed that there’s no guarantee that the mod will fix the resolution issues and work perfectly for everyone. But it’s one step that developer From Software has failed to deliver.
