Raiden, the sword-wielding cyborg from the Metal Gear Solid series, has been revealed as a confirmed member of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s roster of fighters.
Lead designer Seth Killian made the previous rumors official today in a video over at Gamespot.
Raiden will be a combo-centric character with a specific focus on in-air juggling techniques. Developer SuperBot says that the blonde-haired hero is especially effective against a single opponent, and that his level 3 super move involves trapping his opponents in those patented MGS cardboard boxes and slicing away.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is out November 20 for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Raiden’s own game, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is out in February of next year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
