Ace Attorney 5 Confirmed, Coming To 3DS

Phoenix Wright will be back, and he’ll be coming to the 3DS in Ace Attorney 5, the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu confirms (via Andriasang).

The mag says that Wright will return as the game’s protagonist. This time around, though, he’ll be joined by a new partner, only described as “a mysterious girl in yellow clothing” thus far. Andriasang says that she will play a key role in the upcoming handheld title, and that Capcom is planning on revealing more details at the Tokyo Game Show, where a 15-minute playable demo will be available.

The report goes on to state that Ace Attorney 5 will take place a year after the events of Ace Attorney 4, and will have Wright return to his job as a lawyer. No release frame for Ace Attorney 5 has been provided, although Famitsu does note that the crossover spinoff Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is scheduled to drop sometime this year in Japan.
