UPDATE: Ace Attorney 5 Westbound

When the upcoming 3DS entry in the Ace Attorney series, Ace Attorney 5, was first announced , we did not yet have a release date; there was only confirmation, from Famitsu, of the game’s existence, with even its Japanese launch date shrouded in mystery.

While, as of today, we don’t yet have an update on the title’s release date, we do have good news for those who do not read or speak Japanese, but have a fluent enough grasp of English to peruse our site. Capcom has confirmed Ace Attorney 5 for a Western release, ensuring that US fans of the arbitration-focused game will be able to further enjoy the adventures of Phoenix Wright (returned after two games in which he was either uninvolved or played second fiddle to a new hero).

Though there was never truly any doubt that the game would come to the U.S., the series having seen prior success over here, it’s great to have such prompt confirmation of an international release.
