LittleBigPlanet isn’t exactly known for its compelling story, regardless of the fuzzy storybook feelings it brings to gamers everywhere. Still, it has created some notable “antagonists” like the SackBots, who are almost as notable as the SackBoy protagonists that we all know and love.
Now LittleBigPlanetKarting, the new kart racing game where you can build and create anything, is also getting an antagonist, which has just been revealed in a post on the official U.S. PlayStation Blog.
Meet, the Hoard, LBPK’s new baddy baddies. They look like cobbled together deformed Sackboys that came straight out of a Mad Max fan film. The Hoard wants to capture up all of Craftworld’s prizes and, er, hoard them. It’s up to outrace, out-battle, and out-hoard the Hoard in order to keep all of Craftworld’s prizes for yourself, apparently.
Yeah, like I said before, LBP isn’t exactly known for its compelling story.
However, we now at least know what we are up against, and they certainly are creative designs for enemies. And these enemies seem to drive copters, boats, and planes in addition to karts. Perhaps we will see some multi-terrain racing added into LittleBigPlanet Karting in the future?
