Fighting games and on-disc DLC seem to go hand in hand these days. Today, fans have found six secret characters lurking on the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 disc.
These characters include Dr. Boskonovitch, the creator of Jack and Alisa and playable character in Tekken 3; Unknown, the boss character from Tekken Tag Tournament 1; Slim Bob, a version of Bob who has lost all his weight from Tekken 6; Miharu, Xiaoyu’s friend and classmate; Sebastian, Lilli’s butler; and Violet, a fabulous alter ego for Lee.
All of these characters have full assets, models, and fighting styles, but they are not unlockable in any way. Some feature prominently in different modes of the game like the tutorial, but most don’t make an appearance at all. So this has led most fans to believe that we will be getting these characters as DLC down the line.
Before you get all up in arms about NAMCO Bandai milking you for money, Katushiro Harada has previously stated that the company does not plan to charge you for DLC characters in TTT2. So it’s likely that all of these characters will be free and will simply be unlocked after a certain amount of time has passed. It’s less of a scheme to bleed you for money and more of a scheme to reinvigorate interest in the game after it’s been out for a while.
