Bayonetta 2 To Be A Wii U Exclusive

Bayonetta 2 To Be A Wii U Exclusive

Until now, there hasn’t been much in the way of “killer apps” for the Wii U. Sure we got another Mario game, and the newest Pikmin was pretty cool looking, but once again the system was shaping up to be a gigantic Nintendo party with very little third-party support.

Until now. A recent Nintendo event in New York has revealed that Bayonetta 2 will be a Wii U exclusive. That’s a risky move for Platinum Games considering the original Bayonetta sold so well.

Bayonetta is a popular action game for sure, but can it sell the Wii U to hardcore gamers? Some theorized that Black Ops II would get the Wii U into hardcore space, but since Black Ops 2 is coming out on other HD consoles, buying a Wii U isn’t exactly compulsory. However, Bayonetta 2 being a Wii U exclusive is sure to bring a bunch of Bayonetta fans back into the Nintendo fold.

Still, while Bayonetta was a popular game, it was no God of War or Devil May Cry. We will have to wait and see how this develops once the Wii U releases in November.
