Fans of the original Killzone will get a chance to play it all over again in Killzone HD, a remake set to hit the PlayStation Network on October 23. This is in addition to the Killzone Trilogy that was anounced earlier this month .
As you might expect, the game pretty much survives intact in every way but the graphics. That being said, the graphics have received quite an overhaul. The game runs at 720p at 30fps with “MSAA filtering, sharper textures, and higher quality sound effects” according to a recent U.S. PlayStation Blog Post.
The other big improvement that Killzone HD has received is trophy support, and a full list of trophies can be found on the Official U.S. PlayStation Blog. Most of them involve killing Helghasts in interesting ways, like two with one shot or three with one grenade. Of course, there are also trophies for simply progressing through the game, and the all-important Platinum meta trophy for unlocking all of the other trophies.
