Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Announced

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Announced

BioWare has announced Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, the next entry in its popular RPG franchise. It’ll arrive sometime in “late 2013.”

Details are still scarce, although we do know that BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal are on development duty, and that the game will run on an all-new engine that uses DICE’s acclaimed Frostbite 2 tech “as a foundation.”

BioWare says it’s been working on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition in some capacity for “about two years now.” The title is primarily being composed by the same team that worked on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.

“We’ve been poring over player feedback from past games and connecting directly with our fans,” said General Manager of BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal Aaryn Flynn.

“They haven’t held back, so we’re not either. With Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, we want to give fans what they’re asking for – a great story with choices that matter, a massive world to explore, deep customization and combat that is both tactical and visceral.”

No word yet on which consoles Dragon Age 3 will be coming to, but with a release date of late next year and an all-new engine, let the next-gen speculation begin. We’ll be sure to give further details on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition as they arrive.
