Valve Announces The Team Fortress 2 MvM Update

Valve Announces The Team Fortress 2 MvM Update

The Team Fortress 2 Mann vs. Machine update introduced a brand new mode that places both red and blue factions up against mindless automata. Now, that update is getting updated!

The “Big Mann vs. Machine Update” will introduce two new Mann vs. Machine tours of duty to the game. They are Operation Oil Spill, which is rated less hard, and Operation Gear Grinder, which is rated very hard. This new update will also introduce brand new loot into the game, including new bot heads for people who manage to clear the brand new tours of duty. Players who manage to beat Operation Oil Spill will gain rusty, blood-covered bot heads, while players who clear Operation Gear Grinder will receive 24-carat diamond bot heads.

The final update to the brand spanking new Mann vs. Machine mode involves tweaks to the game’s netcode and matchmaking. You can now select multiple missions to maximize the chances of finding a game as quickly as possible. In addition, you can now filter your tours of duty by difficulty level, or simply by missions that you have not yet completed. In addition, players who complete a Mann vs. Machine mission will now be sent back to the matchmaking screen, allowing them to play again rather than being disbanded immediately.
