A while back we reported on the disappearance of the map Favela from Modern Warfare playlists . Supposedly, a frame on a painting over a toilet displayed Islamic religious text in Arabic. This was considered offensive toward Muslims, which prompted Infinity Ward to remove the map from rotation until it was fixed.
Well, the issue has finally been resolved. The frames on these pictures have been replaced with blank black bordered frames instead that contain no text whatsoever. It only took several weeks and a 17mb update to do it. However, it’s worth it to avoid any sort of religious scandal.
Currently, the update has only been implemented on the PS3. It should be coming to other platforms soon enough.
