It’s starting to look like Yoshi will be starring in his very own Wii U title in the near future. The folks over at Best Buy accidentally leaked bit of information about a game called Yoshi’s Land, when they were updating the website of their Canadian subsidiary, Future Shop. The listing has no box art but does have a rather generic description:
Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land for Nintendo Wii U. Check out Yoshi as you’ve never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U Touchscreen GamePad, while you’ll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.
Yoshi’s Land was not one of the many titles that were leaked when Gamestop accidentally revealed an upcoming games list a few months back, and Nintendo has not yet commented on the game’s supposed existence.
We haven’t seen a Yoshi centric game on a console since Yoshi’s Story on the Nintendo 64. It’s about time that Yoshi got a chance to step into the spotlight again.
