StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition Announced

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition Announced

Good news, StarCraft II fans. Blizzard has announced the details for the upcoming Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition. The announcement, which concerns both digital and retail versions, was made today on Battle.net .

If you’re looking to pick up a physical copy, it’ll be available at specific retailers. We’re assuming that this includes familiar game slingers like GameStop and Best Buy. As for what comes in the box, here are the details:

  • Heart of the Swarm Art Book
  • Zerg Rush Mouse Pad
  • Behind the Scenes Blu-Ray and DVD
  • Collector’s Edition Soundtrack
  • In game content for StarCraft II, World of Warcraft, and Diablo III

The digital edition will only include in-game content, but it also comes at a discounted price. The retail collector’s edition will cost $79.99, while the digital version comes in at $59.99.

Heart of the Swarm is the second release and first expansion for StarCraft II. As you could probably decipher from the title, this campaign will feature the Zerg, where Wings of Liberty focused on a Terran storyline. The third release, Legacy of the Void, will allow Protoss lovers to get their fix. Sadly, that’s not expected for quite sometime.

You can pick up either the traditional, digital deluxe, or collector’s editions of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm on March 12th, 2013.
