Dust 514 Finally Integrates With EVE On Thursday

Many of you remember that Dust 514’s biggest draw was its integration with the EVE Online universe. Actions in one game would affect the other and vice versa. This is a great idea but until now we haven’t seen any sort of cross-game interaction. Luckily, this is all about to change. This Thursday, the two games will finally be integrated. Dust mercenaries will begin showing up on the Tranquility server, allowing EVE corporations to accept them. Similarly, Dust corporations can now start hiring EVE pilots. In addition, both games will support voice chat and mail communication between each other.

Eventually the groups will be able to exchange resources with one other, but not yet. The finer details of economic exchange between the two games haven not yet been worked out, and a sloppy transition could wreck the economy.

Unfortunately, this means that Dust players will have to go through yet another character skill and corporation reset. Since there are still things to integrate even after Thursday’s big migration, players will likely have a few more resets in their future as well.
