It Looks Like Resident Evil: Revelations Is Coming To Consoles

One of the best games on the Nintendo 3DS is coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. At least that’s what it looks like. Even though there hasn’t been any confirmation from Capcom, a list of achievements for Resident Evil: Revelations has surfaced. Combine that with the console ratings that showed up in Korea, and it’s pretty safe to say that the writing is on the wall.

While Microsoft and Sony saw the release of Resident Evil 6 this past year, reception wasn’t stellar. Truth be told, it was quite poor. But the release of Revelations on the 3DS was well received, despite some criticisms of the story. But let’s face it; we don’t play Resident Evil for the story.

Despite its reception, Revelations also came out on a system that was finally starting to gain some traction in sales. While the 3DS is now generally accepted as a successful handheld, it’s initial launch was nowhere near what we saw with the Nintendo DS. This means that there’s probably a large chunk of gamers that missed out on the game. A console release would allow a larger number of people to play 2012’s best Resident Evil game.

There’s no word on a Wii U release as of this time.
