CD Projekt RED Teases The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED Teases The Witcher 3

The Witcher 2 thrust CD Projekt RED into the gaming spotlight in 2011 with its mature story, gorgeous graphics, and murky morality. The last year has further demonstrated their dedication. They’ve made some positive alterations to their sister company’s digital distribution site, GoG.com, and continued support for The Witcher 2. In 2012, rumors also started to fly regarding the team’s upcoming projects, one of which was revealed to be a PC RPG based on the Cyberpunk pen & paper game. A teaser trailer for the game, titled Cyberpunk 2077, revealed through a hidden message that it will be a non-linear, open world, RPG experience slated for 2015 or “when it’s done.”

The hidden message also indicated that a more imminent project will be unveiled on February 5, with CD Projekt asserting that its fans can probably guess what it is. The team has also been posting recruitment messages on their blog for a “Dark Fantasy RPG.” And today’s teaser image, seen above, gives fans even more hope. It seems clear that CD Projekt is planning to announce The Witcher 3 and get it out the door by 2015.
