Crossover games seem to be all the rage these days. We have Marvel VS Capcom 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, Phoenix Wright VS Professor Layton, and the crazy strategy RPG madhouse which was Project X Zone. Well now Atlus and Nintendo are getting in on the fun with the recently announced Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem!
Not much is known about the game at this point. Heck, the only thing we really know is that it will include characters from both Megaten and Fire Emblem games. However, we did get to see a sneak peak at which characters might be in the game. On the Megaten side, we have obscure favorites like the main character from Nocture and Digital Devil Saga, but on the Fire Emblem side, we see characters like Marth, Ike, Lyn, Roy, and others. In addition, SMT characters appear to be paired up, while Fire Emblem characters seem to be wildly scattered throughout the series.
No Persona characters have shown up yet, but Atlus would be a fool to ignore Persona characters in this game. Persona is easily the most popular Megaten game franchise, and I want to see Marth and Yu Narukami go at it.
