Starcraft Universe, an RPG-ish mod for Starcraft II, is now officially available on Battle.Net. The mod is a single player RPG with some very innovative systems, and it was designed entirely in the Starcraft II map editor. It includes eight classes, character customization, vehicle combat, custom physics, and even voice acting. It’s an incredible undertaking for a fan project.
The game is complete, but will be updated as time goes on. For example, the design team promises MMO-style raid gameplay for up to ten players. It can now be accessed through Starcraft II’s arcade menu and is a far better use of your time than Starcraft bejeweled, that’s for sure.
