Battlefield 4 Coming This November

Battlefield 4 Coming This November

While we don’t expect Battlefield 4 to be officially unveiled until GDC, some of the details are have leaked.

Reportedly, the game’s Frostbite 2.5 engine will feature far more enhanced visuals with the game utilizing 80% of the engine’s power. As expected, the PC will the be title’s primary home. That being said, it’s expected that Battlefield 4 will run at a smooth 60 FPS on 720p resolution on the PS4 and Xbox 720 (once the console is announced).

There’s no word on the resolution/frame rate for Xbox 360 and PS3, but there is still going to be a gimped multiplayer experience, as current-gen consoles max out at 24 players during multiplayer. PC owners can expect the familiar 64 player matches they’re accustomed to.

The game itself is apparently set in China during the year 2020 and features a campaign that clocks in at about five hours in length. Hopefully the campaign will be slightly better than BF3’s. Though, that shouldn’t be hard to do.
