Soul Sacrifice Demo Transfers Progress To Full Game

Soul Sacrifice Demo Transfers Progress To Full Game

Soul Sacrifice, Keiji Inafune’s action-RPG for the PlayStation Vita, will be hitting the PSN prior to its release with a substantial demo. Containing the entire first chapter of the single-player game, the demo will also feature four Avalon Pact quests that can be tackled with up to three other players via online gameplay or Ad-Hoc multiplayer. Character customization is confirmed, as well, which is important since progress made in the demo can be transferred over to the final retail version of the game.

This is a similar strategy to that of Etrian Odyssey IV. Odyssey’s demo included the main game’s first chapter and allowed players to save their demo progress and take it with them into the retail release. It strikes me as a particularly appealing way to market an in-depth RPG experience, since it in no way wastes a player’s time. The Soul Sacrifice demo hits the PSN this week, while the retail release will be on Tuesday, April 30.
